Martin Kern, the Joanna and Greg Zeluck ’84 P13 P18 Professor in Asian Studies, was elected President of the Society for 2023-24. The American Oriental Society, founded in 1842, is the oldest learned society in the United States devoted to a particular field of scholarship.
