Bio/Description

Jeff Heller is the Digital Project Specialist for the Department of East Asian Studies. He works closely with faculty and students on data-related projects, and gained notoriety for creating the Humble Administrators Dashboard, a FileMaker Pro-based department administration tool that was at one point installed in ten academic units across campus.

Earning his B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts (2004), he previously worked for Apple, Inc., specializing in delivering personal and group training sessions to customers, businesses, management, and colleagues. His exceptional skills as a trainer earned him multiple awards and various opportunities at Apple and in freelance projects. During that time he also established and led the Design Department of Otakorp Inc. as Design Department Head, which produces the popular annual anime convention Otakon. Under his leadership, his team produced and published materials for more than 35,000 convention attendees annually.

Jeff is a New Jersey native and lives locally with his wife, who has also been with Princeton University for many years.
