Bio/Description
Sarah Sklar is a Ph.D. student in early Japanese history. She is interested in kingship and systems of succession in the Asuka and Nara periods. Prior to joining Princeton, Sarah completed an MPhil in Traditional East Asia at the University of Oxford, where she researched female succession in ancient Japan. She received her B.A. in Japanese from SOAS University of London.
