Bio/Description

Susie Kim joined the Department of East Asian Studies in 2019 as a lecturer for the Korean Language Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Second Language Studies (2019) from Michigan State University, where she taught various levels of Korean language courses for three years. She received her B.A. in English and M.Ed. in English Education from Yonsei University and also earned a Korean as Second Language Teacher Training Certificate from Ewha Womans University. Her research interests include language assessment, language proficiency standards, learner corpus research, and second language writing.
