Ying Ou earned her Master’s degree in Educational Studies with a concentration on teaching and learning from University of Michigan. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature focusing on Chinese-English translation from University of International Relations in Beijing.  Prior to her appointment at Princeton, she taught Chinese courses of various levels in college and K-12 schools for three years. She was appointed as a fourth-year Chinese instructor by Princeton in Beijing in the summer of 2017 and as a lead instructor in third-year Chinese in 2018.
