Yixin Gu joined the EAS Department of Princeton University as a Ph. D student in 2015 after earning his M. A. degree in Fudan University. His on-going researches focus on intellectual history and literary writing in early medieval China from the Han to the Six Dynasties, covering a wide range of text-based studies on classics, poetics, historiographies, exegeses and philosophic works. His M. A. dissertation explores the interaction between intellectual transitions and individual writings from the late Western Han to the Three Kingdoms, and he is currently developing his ideas on a more extensive basis. Also he keeps an enduring passion for traditional Chinese poetics through a long-term learning and writing process.
